Components of Workplace Violence Evacuation Plan
Unfortunately, the world is becoming increasingly violent. As such, workplace violence is a more frequent cause of fast food workers compensation injuries. As an employer and purveyor of goods or services to the public, it is important to create and communicate a plan for responding to a violent incident. Your plan should include some of the following components:
Hide- a safe room would have doors that are able to lock from the inside. The safe room would be the first place that employees and guests would be directed to when there was a violent intruder.
Drill- drills help employees become knowledgeable and create muscle memory for the employees which will help in the high anxiety situation.
Post- post maps of nearest exits in areas that are frequently populated
